Wednesday 27th September
Fintry and Craigiebarns drew 1-1 in Arab Trust DSA Section C. As expected from the top two in the league, this was always going to be close and at halftime it was 0-0. A minute into the second half Fintry opened the scoring but Craigiebarns fought back and equalised ten minutes later. And that was it as far as the goals went.... Fintry produced a top-class save from the Craigiebarns keeper but Craigiebarns probably had the best chance late on when Fintry were at panic stations in their own box, surviving a real stramash and leaving the Craigiebarns sideline with their hands on their heads. A fair result between two teams in top form.
Grove beat St.Columba's HS Dunfermline 5-2 away in the U14 Shield 2nd Round and now have a home tie in the 3rd Round at home to Lochgelly HS or Bell Baxter HS.

Monday 25th September
Harris v. Glenrothes HS in the U13 Shield 1st Round was rained off and is rearranged for Friday 29th. St.John's beat Inverkeithing HS 9-1 and now face a trip to Glenrothes to play Glenwood HS.
St.Paul's v. Grove in the Arab Trust U15 League was off.
Craigie and Morgan drew 4-4 in the Arab Trust DSA Senior League. Just like Thursday Craigie went 1-0 ahead straight from the kick-off, but this time it was all their own making and they did not need to rely on their opponents scoring an own goal for them. Morgan came back to equalise then Craigie regained the lead only for Morgan to level again. 2-2 at halftime and it stayed that way for most of the second half. Morgan scored twice late on to make it 4-2 and it looked like they were going to win. But they reckoned without the Craigie spirit - Craigie pulled one back in the last minute for 4-3 and with time running out a defensive lapse from Morgan gave Craigie the chance for a last-gasp equaliser, 4-4. Honours even and a fair result for two teams who put a lot into it.

St.John's beat Monifieth 5-1 in the Arab Trust U15 League.
St.Paul's beat Craigie 6-2 in the Arab Trust DSA Senior League. Craigie led 1-0 in less than 10 seconds without even touching the ball as St.Paul's kicked off and passed the ball back and further back before losing control and scoring an own goal. Could be one for the Guinness Book of Records! St.Paul's did not let this get them down and turned it round to lead 2-1 before Craigie were awarded a penalty but a soft attempt was easily taken by the keeper to thwart an equaliser. The teams traded goals before halftime with a St.Paul's free kick from the left which was headed across goal from the far post and finished off at the other post for 3-1 before a Craigie free kick from 20 yards out in a central position made it 3-2. The game was very even for the first part of the second half until a corner from the right created havoc in the Craigie box and St.Paul's made it 4-2 and virtually killed the game. A St.Paul's free kick on the right was headed in to his own goal by a Craigie defender under pressure in the jump and the St.Paul's captain deservedly got a goal right at the end with a header. There was no time to restart, as the final whistle sounded, handshakes all round and a final score of 6-2 for St.Paul's.

Wednesday 20th September
Craigiebarns beat Ballumbie 6-1 in Arab Trust DSA Section C. A superb end-to-end game in the rain at Ballumbie. It was Ballumbie who took the lead and held on to it for some time thanks to fantastic saves from their keeper. Both keepers were in excellent form as the game flowed up and down the park. Craigiebarns were not to be denied and eventually took control with some good goals which even the Ballumbie keeper could not stop. Apart from the seven goals there were lots of chances for both teams with last-ditch clearances and shots hitting the posts. A good crowd forgot all about the rain and just enjoyed the entertainment.
Monifieth beat Morgan 9-0 in the DSA U13 League. Monifieth were 2 up at the break but scored some good goals in the second half to run out comfortable winners, even though Morgan showed signs of progress after their first game.

The College came back in the second period to equalise with goals in the 34th and 56th minutes. Dundee regained the lead at the start of the third period with Marton Hornyik converting a corner from the left, 3-2 (63m) and a Ben Russell cross from the left was finished off by Fraser Macleod, 4-2 (72m).

It kicked off but the referee stopped it after a minute as it was impossible to make correct decisions. After another hunt for bibs the game restarted and the length of the game was cut short to allow for a 5.30 finish. St.John's opened the scoring then thundered in a shot into the top corner for 2-0. A strike from just outside the box made it 3-0 before halftime. The second half was fairly even but there were no more goals so a curtailed game ended in a 3-0 win for St.John's.

Craigiebarns beat SS Peter & Paul 6-4 in the Arab Trust DSA Section C. A tremendous opening to the Primary season in the light rain at Craigie - Craigiebarns were on top in the first half scoring twice, then hitting the frame of the goal and slamming in the rebound for a 3-0 lead but SS Peter & Paul pulled one back just before halftime. No sooner had the second half started when SS Peter & Paul scored again and it was "game on". A fierce strike brought the scores level at 3-3 but almost immediately Craigiebarns lobbed the keeper for 4-3. Again SS Peter & Paul fought back and shot into the far corner, 4-4. With a few minutes left it was Craigiebarns who scored twice in quick succession to put the result finally beyond doubt. It's early days but a definite contender for Game of the Season!
St.Paul's beat Morgan 7-0 in the DSA U13 League. St.Paul's led 4-0 at the break and pressed hard in the second half to score three more, only being denied further goals by a good display from the Morgan keeper.
