Tuesday 28th November
Forthill beat Claypotts Castle 7-2 in Arab Trust DSA Section D.
Dundee A and B enjoyed a good day out at Toryglen in Day 1 of the Primary Inter-Association Sevens. With just 4 Associations taking part on Day 1 the A teams all started with a game against their squad-mates in the B team. The As started with a 4-1 win over the Bs (Millar Gibson, Alan Domeracki 2, Greg Petrie scoring for A, Ryan Dunwoodie scoring for B), then continued with a 2-1 win v. Edinburgh A (Greg Petrie 2), a 4-0 victory v. Glasgow A (Greg Petrie, Derryn Robb, Millar Gibson, Alan Domeracki) and then beat Edinburgh B 3-0 (Alan Domeracki, Derryn Robb, Harley Tierney). A short break for lunch disrupted the rhythm a little as the As went down 3-1 to Glasgow B who had lost all four of their morning games (Millar Gibson), but they recovered to beat East Ayrshire A 2-0 (Alan Domeracki, Derryn Robb) and draw the last game 1-1 v. East Ayrshire B (Derryn Robb). The Bs recovered well from the defeat v. the As with a 2-1 win v. Glasgow A (Samuel Harding 2), a 3-2 win v. Edinburgh B (Lewis Craik 2, Samuel Harding) then a creditable 1-1 draw against East Ayrshire A (Samuel Harding). They must have had a heavier lunch than the As as the first game after the break was a 1-0 defeat to East Ayrshire B, followed by a 2-1 loss against Glasgow B (Samuel Harding) but finished with a 1-1 draw against Edinburgh A (Keir Bertie). The As finished 1st out of the 8 teams, with the Bs finishing 6th. At the end of the day it is East Ayrshire who lead with 13 points, Dundee are just behind with 11 points, Glasgow lie third with 9 points and Edinburgh are in fourth place with 3 points. Perth & Kinross will join the competition on Day 2 which will be indoors in late February or early March, with Day 3 finishing the competition on the grass at Meggetland in Edinburgh in May.

Baldragon beat Morgan 4-3 in the DSA U13 League. Baldragon opened up a 3-goal lead at DISC but Morgan scored their first goal of the season after three blank days to make it 3-1 at halftime. Soon after the break Baldragon were awarded a penalty, but the shot rattled back off the bar and the rebound was hit wide of the post. A couple of minutes later Baldragon did score their 4th but Morgan staged a great fightback to create an exciting end to the game, scoring twice to make it 4-3 and missing a few more chances as well.

Friday 24th November
Both Primary games, St.Clement's v. St.Ninian's in the SSL and SS Peter & Paul v. St.Francis in C were called off because of the conditions.
Baldragon and Monifieth drew 3-3 in the DSA U14 League. With the temperature just above zero the Monifieth pitch was in perfect condition for the game, and there was plenty of excitement right up to the final whistle. Baldragon took an early lead and midway through the half Monifieth equalised in controversial circumstances when the Baldragon keeper struggled to get back on his line to a shot but managed to get his right arm to it to scoop it away - however the referee awarded a goal from 40 yards away with absolutely no chance he could have been certain the whole ball had crossed the line. Baldragon felt hard done by and soon conceded two more to trail 3-1, a Monifieth cross from the right creating chaos in the defence and Baldragon touches only helping the ball into the net, followed a minute or two later by a great lob over the keeper into the empty net. Near halftime Baldragon pulled one back with a low shot at the near post, 3-2 for Monifieth at halftime. The second half was mainly Baldragon pressing for an equaliser with Monifieth defending well and hitting on the break in an attempt to secure full points. Two minutes from the end the Baldragon pressure finally paid off with a right-foot shot from 10 yards beating the keeper into the bottom corner for 3-3. A draw was probably the right result. Photos to come.
