St.John's beat St.Paul's 2-1 in the Arab Trust U15 League.
Wednesday 25th October
St.Francis beat Rowantree 5-0 in the Junior Sports Cup 1st Round and play Ballumbie or Barnhill.
Harris beat Kirkcaldy HS 5-3 in the U13 Shield 2nd Round and are now home to Glenwood HS or St.John's.
Woodmill HS beat St.Paul's 7-0 in the U14 Shield 2nd Round.
Tuesday 24th October
Tayview beat Birkhill 3-2 in the Junior Sports Cup 1st Round and play Rosebank or Craigowl.
Monifieth beat St.John's 8-7 in the DSA U13 League.
Beath HS beat St.Paul's 9-3 in the U13 Shield 2nd Round.
Thursday 5th October
St.Ninian's beat St.Fergus 6-1 in the DSA Arab Trust Small Schools League. St.Ninian's were 4 up at the break, St.Fergus scored one in the second half but St.Ninian's halted the revival with two more goals. Photos to come.
St.Mary's beat Rowantree 7-2 in DSA Arab Trust Section A.
Craigowl beat Downfield 3-2 in Arab Trust DSA Section D. Craigowl scored the only goal of the first half, Downfield equalised after the interval but two Craigowl goals in quick succession, one an unfortunate own goal blasted in to the corner of the net, made it 3-1 before Downfield hit a good strike late on to finish the scoring. Grove v. St.Paul's in the DSA U14 League was off.
Grove beat Madras College 9-0 in the U16 Shield 1st Round and now play Balwearie HS at home. Grove had the strong wind behind them in the first half and scored 4. A goal in the opening minute of the second half for Grove proved that playing into the wind was no problem and went on to seal an impressive win. Photos to come.
Wednesday 4th October
St.Andrew's beat Ballumbie 6-3 (played earlier) and St.Joseph's beat SS Peter & Paul 5-0 in Arab Trust DSA Section C. Photos to come.
Mill of Mains beat Downfield 8-5 in the Junior Sports Cup (played earlier) and are now home to Longhaugh.
Fife beat Dundee 5-4 in the Senior National Trophy Group 2 game at Methil. In an eventful game on the East Fife astroturf Dundee took the lead in the 14th minute when a Matt McKinnon shot went in off the post. Fife were then denied a stonewall penalty in the first of a series of weird refereeing decisions. Fife were later given a penalty for nothing which they scored and added another goal to lead 2-1 at halftime.
Fife increased their lead with a good header from a corner on the right but Dundee were soon back in it with a long-range strike from Fraser Macleod which curled into the postage stamp, 3-2.Fife kept edging ahead however and, despite two good goals from Josh Mulligan, time ran out in the quest for an equaliser and Fife hung on for a 5-4 win. Next up is a home game against North of Scotland in November. Photos to come.
Tuesday 3rd October
Harris beat Breadalbane Ac. 7-1 in Aberfeldy in the U14 Shield 2nd Round and are now home to Glenwood HS.
Dundee beat Fife 4-2 in the U15 National Trophy Group 2 game played at Methil. Dundee withstood early pressure from Fife with the defence and keeper performing well. There were a few chances for Dundee in the first half but Fife always managed to clear so it seemed like it would be goalless at the break but 2 goals in 90 seconds turned the game in Dundee's favour. First Jamie McCann netted in a packed penalty area and then, following good work from Ewan White on the right, Kieron Dolan shot home for 0-2. The second half continued in the same vein with the defence dealing with the Fife attacks and Dundee hitting on the break. Jamie McCann ran from his own half down the left into the box where he was upended and Liam Duell scored from the spot for 0-3. Soon after that a break down the right from Ewan White and a low cross gave Jamie McCann the chance to finish at the near post from 6 yards. 0-4. Fife pulled two goals back in the later stages of the game but it was not enough to cause any serious ripples and some of the subs were able to get on for a taste of the action. The next game is home to North of Scotland in November. Photos to come.
Monday 2nd October
Grove beat Balwearie HS 5-3 in the U13 Shield 2nd Round and now play Queen Anne HS or Webster's away. Grove played with the strong wind at their backs in the first half and soon took the lead with a shot going in at the far post. Grove soon had the chance to double the score from the penalty spot but the Balwearie keeper made a great save at his right-hand post to turn the ball away for a corner - unfortunately for him the corner was headed past him for 2-0. Grove scored a third before Balwearie hit back for 3-1 but Grove netted again to lead 4-1 at the break. Midway through the second half Grove scored one into the wind for 5-1 which almost put the result beyond doubt. Balwearie showed how to score from the spot but the final whistle sounded soon after. Braeview v. St.John's in the DSA U14 League did not take place. But Baldragon beat Craigie 7-2 for their second win in two weeks. Baldragon opened the scoring after an even start, then Craigie scored twice to take the lead but Baldragon were level at halftime. In the second half there were chances at both ends but Baldragon had most of the pressure and scored 5 more without reply. Photos to come.
