Monday 22nd May
Grove beat Morgan 8-0 in the U13 Logie Cup Semifinal (sponsored by DFCSS) and face Harris in the final. Grove scored in the first couple of minutes with a header and led 3-0 at the interval. thanks to a penalty for a trip for the third and a tremendous goal for the second - a cross from the left to outside the far post, a quick ball across the goal where it was converted a few yards out. An early goal in the second half put Grove further ahead, an excellent strike from outside the box dipped over the keeper for 5-0 and the game was finished as a contest. Morgan never gave up but they struggled to make anything of their attacking chances. The Morgan keeper made some very good saves but the almost constant pressure gave Grove three more goals. The game finished in good time, just a few minutes before a heavy rainstorm arrived. Photos to come.

Despite missing a few players on the day for various reasons the 16 who played for Dundee A and B enjoyed the Edinburgh sunshine and played some good football to finish in 2nd place overall. The only defeats for the As and Bs were in the games against East Ayrshire who have been strong all season so no disgrace there. But for a poor Day 1 back in December Dundee could have been challenging more strongly against the East Ayrshire teams, but they have been consistent all year and deserved to win the tournament. Dundee have played well on Days 2 and 3 so the 2nd place behind East Ayrshire is no mean feat.
Each side played one goalless draw in the group stage and both ended with a 3-2-1 record to finish with 11 points. The race to become top scorer was on between Aiden Lockhart and Morgan Garden, Aiden Lockhart netting 4 to keep just ahead of Morgan Garden who scored 5 on the day.
