Tuesday 17th November
St.Andrew's beat St.Joseph's 3-1 in Arab Trust DSA Section C.
After the 1st day of the Primary Inter-Association Sevens at Toryglen Dundee finished third behind Edinburgh and East Ayrshire. The Dundee A team drew 0-0 with Dumfries & Galloway A, then lost 4-0 to Edinburgh B and finished the 1st phase with a 2-1 win against Angus B, Nairn Greig and Leo Murrie scoring to put Dundee A in 2nd place. Meanwhile the B team started with a 3-0 win over Dumfries & Galloway B (own goal, Cameron Blacklock, Rory Macleod), then a 1-1 draw v. Perth & Kinross A (Scott Buchanan) and finished the 1st phase in first place after a 2-0 victory against Glasgow A (Rory Macleod, Leon Spowart).
That was the end of the scoring for the greens as they went into the 2nd phase in the top group - a 2-0 defeat v. Edinburgh B, then a 0-0 draw v. Edinburgh A and a 2-0 defeat v. East Ayrshire A put Dundee B in 4th place. The goalless draw against Edinburgh A who finished top of the pile was particularly unfortunate as the referee blew the final whistle just as Dundee were shooting for goal and the ball landed in the back of the net. On the next pitch the yellows in the second group had mixed results which saw them into 3rd place. A 3-2 win over Perth & Kinross A (Elliot Hughes 2, Leo Murrie) was followed by a 0-0 draw against group-topping Paisley A, with a 2-0 loss to East Ayrshire B to finish with.
Edinburgh lead the way with 31 points, East Ayrshire are second with 25, Dundee third with 23 and in fourth place are Glasgow on 15 points, so there is much to play for on the 2nd day which is in March.
Morgan and Baldragon drew 6-6 in the Arab Trust U15 League.

Fife beat Dundee 6-2 in the U15 National Trophy. The game was switched from King George V in Leven to the Astroturf at Auchmuty HS in Glenrothes. Matt McKinnon was put through by Owen McColgan to reduce the arrears before halftime, 4-1.
The wind affected play a bit but two more errors at the back gave Fife a 6-1 lead after 52 minutes. On the hour Matt McKinnon scored from close range to make it 6-2. With the subs Ryan Paterson and Callan Gallagher making an impact there was a fair amount of pressure but sadly no more goals.

Friday 6th November
Dundee beat Fife 5-2 in the Senior National Trophy to qualify for the quarterfinals with still one game to play. Because of doubts about the weather the tie was switched the day before from East Fife FC to Beath HS Astroturf and was played on a dull but dry day. There was little between the teams in the first half and 2-2 at halftime was a fair reflection on play. Taylor Berry hit the post then in the 19th minute Dundee lost the ball on the edge of the Fife box and the home team went down the other end to open the scoring, 1-0. Just after the half-hour Derryn Kesson crossed from the left for Taylor Berry to score a near-post equaliser, 1-1 (32m). Four minutes from halftime Taylor Berry survived a poor tackle to hit a great strike and give Dundee the lead, 1-2 (41m). A minute later a backheader to the keeper was too short and Fife nipped in to make it 2-2 (42m).
The second half was still even until midway when Mark Smith and Adam Brown came on. Both players had watched the previous game on the sidelines, having been injured, so were keen to get into the action. A minute after coming on Mark Smith won the ball on the right near the bye-line and turned it across to Derryn Kesson who fired low into the far corner, 2-3 (69m). The next minute Mark Smith picked up the ball on the left and ran in to score a solo goal, 2-4 (70m). Four minutes later Adam Brown sent through a great pass for Mark Smith to run onto and hit home to put the game beyond Fife, 2-5 (74m).
All the players got on to enjoy some of the action, with the three goals in 5 minutes giving Dundee a comfortable cushion.
Squad : Jay Foran, Derryn Kesson (Craigie HS), Taylor Berry, Adam Brown, Paul Callaghan, Rory Faulkner, Lewis Finnie, Mark Smith, Blair Whyte (Grove Ac.), David Beattie, Cameron McMahon (Morgan Ac.), Taylor Carroll, Ryan Connor, Kieran Conway, Kieran Ross, Conor Samson (St.John's HS), Jamie Herron (St.Paul's Ac.)
